THE STORY OF JAE & JAZZ
J Styles Fitness is not just a fitness brand, we are a family. We have spent years perfecting our craft and have turned our dream of being healthy and active athletes, into a wide stream fitness lifestyle.
James "Jae" Styles is a natural born athlete, holding MVP, Heart of a Champion, and Most Dedicated awards in basketball, football, track, and tennis. Jae has been playing sports since he was a toddler, starting with baseball and soccer. At the age of 11, Jae began taking Tae Kwon Do classes and immediately excelled. By age 13, he had acquired his 1st Degree Black Belt. Due to his ambidextrous talents, he was chosen for the MIAS All Star Basketball team his senior year of high school, with a trail of awards, certificates, and newspaper articles, following him. Jae is currently completing his last semester of college with a major in exercise science.
It has always been his dream to either be a professional athlete, or train and develop future and current professional athletes. Because of this, he has acquired a certification in personal training and is completing a certification in strength and conditioning. He is a workout enthusiast and strives to not only better himself, but those around him as well.
Jae's training and coach techniques are a bit on the nice side, regardless of his competitiveness. He pushes you to be your best, while balancing his drive with supportive accolades. He’s intense, serious, and coddling, all in one. So, if you want a nice sergeant for a personal trainer, Jae is your guy.
Jasmine “Jazz” Styles is not only a natural born athlete, but the most competitive and driven person you will probably encounter. She, like her younger brother, holds MVP, Most Dedicated, and Heart of a Champion awards in cheer, dance, basketball, softball, and track. Jazz started her obsession with sports in her toddler years, running her parents from practice to practice. Jazz began taking Tae Kwon Do classes at the age of four, and paused that path at the age of six, where other sports became more important. She returned to Tae Kwon Do at the age of 16, bringing her younger brother along for the ride. Even with a 10 year gap, Jazz quickly excelled to one of the top students, earning her 1st Degree Black belt at the age of 17. While instructing Tae Kwon Do classes, she managed to maintain her position as captain and co-captain of the ladies track team, basketball, softball, cheer, and dance teams. Like her brother, Jazz has a trail of awards, certificates, and newspaper articles following her.
Jazz never wanted to become a professional athlete, she just loved the idea of being a part of a team, going hard on and off the field, and demolishing goals and opponents. After starting her freshman year of college, she quickly missed playing sports and being active. She decided to join as many intramural teams as she could, while training a few friends in the gym, a few times a week. Staying healthy is a big part of Jazz’s life because she battles Grave’s Disease, which has a huge effect on her weight.
Apart from Jae, Jazz went to school for public service and justice. She has completed a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, a Bachelor’s in Political Science, and a Master’s in Public Policy & Administration. Because of how passionate she was about exercise and sports, and the fact that her little brother’s whole world was about basketball, she started J Styles Fitness with him. Along her 7 year college career, she has obtained a certification in personal training, and is completing certifications in nutrition and kickboxing, something that became a big part of her life in college.
Jazz’s training styles are on the opposite end of the spectrum from Jae! She is hardcore and will push you further than you have ever gone. Where Jae will feel for you and ease up, Jazz will see more in you and go harder. Jazz’s energy is always on level 10 and she brings that energy to everything she does, but her clients appreciate her for it.
Jazz and Jae are both very competitive, to the point that they argue about who has more newspaper appearances. But, this is what makes them give their all. Even with a 5 and half year age gap, they still push each other to be better, do more, and become greater, rather that be through Christ, every day life, or fitness. You couldn’t have chosen a better sister and brother duo, to help you reach your goal!
